Visiting Ukraine – Ukrainian Visa

Ukraine visa

Ukrainian Travel Visa Basics

It is a very common misunderstanding that a visa stamp in your passport guarantees you entry to the country of destination. It is not true. The visa is simply a permission to travel to a point of entry (airport, seaport, etc.) This is where an immigration officer will examine your documents and determine whether you are allowed into the country or not.
Travel visas are issued depending on the purpose of your trip. There are several types of travel visas, the most common are tourist and business visas. Others are works visas, student visas, crew visas, transit visas and resident visas. Not every foreign country requires a visa to enter. Some issue a visa upon your arrival while others require you to receive a visa at a consulate prior to your trip.

Travel Visa Processing

Visa requests are processed by the consulate section of an embassy or by the consulate general of a country. Instructions given by the consulate should be followed exactly as stated to avoid delays and, in some cases, even rejections of visa applications.
Depending on your destination and the type of visa you apply for processing times may vary from several days to several weeks. Tourist and business visa applications are typically processed within a few days up to two weeks. Expedited visa service, if available, can be accomplished in one day. Student, resident and work visa applications take more time to process. Application may be sent to the consular services by mail but this is becoming a more rare practice as more and more countries are requiring a personal application submission. If personal attendance is impossible, consulates allow a third party to be authorized to do this for you. The third party can be a relative, friend or travel agent. You can also hire a private visa expediter.

Visa Expediting Service

Using visa expediter has three advantages:

  • You do not have to be at the consulate general in person. This can save you a lot of time and even money depending on where you reside in relation to the consulate;
  • The expediter rechecks your documents and application to verify that they are filled out appropriately. If necessary, they will be corrected and then taken to the consulate;
  • Visa expediting service can, sometimes, get your application processed quicker.

The downside to using visa expediting service is that they, of course, charge a fee for their involvement but this amount is relatively small, especially if you consider all the advantages above. Most visa applications are quite simple. They usually require only basic travel information and can be downloaded from the websites of the embassies or consulates. In fact, electronic applications which are submitted online start to force out printed paper applications.

Visa to Ukraine

A Ukrainian visa for entering the country is required for citizens of most countries, except: EU countries, Switzerland, Japan, Canada, USA, Mongolia, Former USSR countries (except for Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia). If you are a citizen of one these countries and you wish to come to Ukraine and meet a hot Russian woman, then visa is not required for you. Please note that there are four kinds of visas to Ukraine: transit, private, tourist and business. In order to apply for a tourist visa to Ukraine, you need to have a set of documents including a Visa Support Letter from a third party, in your case if you are coming to meet with one or more of our Ukrainian ladies listed on the pages of our Marriage Agency, then we are this third party. This letter, prepared for you by our company, is a third party confirmation that you are indeed going to Ukraine. This document is faxed to you for submission to Ukrainian Consulate nearest to you. Ukrainian Consulates all over the world accept fax copies of these documents. After receiving a Visa Support Letter you need to apply for visa.

You have to visit your local Ukrainian Consulate with the following documents:

  • An invitation/visa support letter from our company;
  • Voucher - you obtain this from us via e-mail when you make your hotel booking;
  • Passport (valid for a minimum of 6 months after date of arrival at Ukraine);
  • Minimum 1 passport photo of 35 X 45 mm size (some Consulates require up to 3);
  • Completed visa application form;
  • Visa processing fee;
  • Copy of travel insurance policy (not always required);
  • Copy of your flight tickets (not always required).

Some consulates accept a photocopy of your passport; in others they will need the passport itself in order to issue the visa. Please call your local consulate for details.
Usually visa processing takes about 10 working days. This mostly depends on the Consulate and visa type. If necessary, visa-processing can be completed in 2-3 days, but such express procedure usually costs twice as much. Transit visas are issued within two working days.

Please provide us with the following details when you ask for your Visa Support Letter:

  • Full name as is in your passport;
  • Date of birth;
  • Nationality;
  • Passport number.

Following these guidelines will ensure you get your visa in time and without any complications. Good luck in planning your visit to Ukraine and meeting Russian singles. Visit the Lady from Ukraine. You may also be interested in visiting Odessa or Poltava
